Plesk subscription FAQ

Why is this half the price of the regular Plus tier?

Because it's a strictly narrower product. The Plesk channel ships only sw-nginx-module-* packages — the modules that load in Plesk's sw-nginx ABI. Plus opens the full extras repository (100+ modules), most of which can't load in sw-nginx anyway. The $5 tier prices the actual delivered value. More on what's inside →

Does this work on Plesk for Ubuntu or Debian?

No. The Plesk channel is RPM-only — RHEL, AlmaLinux, Rocky, CloudLinux and Amazon Linux. We don't build sw-nginx-module-* for .deb-based Plesk hosts, so this tier won't deliver anything on Ubuntu/Debian. If you're on Ubuntu/Debian, the stock nginx modules from a Plus subscription are what you want instead.

How many servers does $5/mo cover?

One. You enter one public IPv4 above, and that's the Plesk host that gets repo access. If you run multiple Plesk hosts, subscribe one per host or contact us about a bulk arrangement.

Do I keep my Plesk-shipped sw-nginx?

Yes — nothing replaces it. Our packages are add-on modules for the same sw-nginx binary Plesk installed. Enable them via the supported plesk sbin nginx_modules_ctl --enable <handle> command; Plesk updates won't strip them.

What if I move off Plesk later?

Cancel this subscription and start a regular Plus subscription — the stock-nginx repo channel covers everything you'd need on a non-Plesk box. The Plesk tier is intentionally specific to sw-nginx.

Can I switch billing periods later?

Yes. Cancel and re-subscribe with the other period, or contact support and we’ll handle the swap with proration.
