Frequently Asked Questions

How does repository access work?

Access is tied to your server's public IP address. After subscribing, enter your server IP and you'll have immediate access to install packages via yum/dnf.

What's the difference between Individual and Fleet plans?

Individual plans (Plus/Pro/Ultra) are for single servers. Fleet plans include self-service IP management, allowing you to add/remove multiple server IPs up to your seat limit.

Can I upgrade or downgrade my plan?

Yes! Contact support to change plans. We'll prorate the difference for upgrades or apply credit for downgrades.

Do you offer a free trial?

We don't offer trials, but all plans are month-to-month with no long-term commitment. Cancel anytime with no questions asked.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept all major credit cards (via Stripe) and PayPal for individual plans. Fleet plans are Stripe-only for faster IP management.

When is Enterprise required?

Enterprise is required in any of these cases: (1) your organization has more than 250 employees or $50M annual revenue; (2) you are a managed hosting or MSP redistributing our packages to third-party customer-owned servers; (3) any single end-customer is itself 250+ employees / $50M+ revenue; (4) you need multi-region SLA or indemnity. Contact us for a custom quote.

I run a hosting or MSP company. Which plan covers managing client servers?

If all endpoint servers are your own infrastructure (same legal entity or wholly-owned subsidiaries), Ultra covers unlimited internal hosts pulling from one mirror. If you push our packages to servers owned by your end customers, you are redistributing and Enterprise is required. Small MSPs with fewer than 25 third-party-owned endpoints and only SMB customers may still use Ultra; above that scale or with enterprise-tier end-customers, Enterprise applies.

What does "internal mirroring" mean on Ultra?

Ultra includes the right to run one reposync mirror (e.g. Red Hat Satellite, Pulp) anchored to a single public IP, and serve our packages from that mirror to any number of hosts belonging to your own organization. It does not cover redistribution to third-party-owned servers.

Which plan works best for AWS or cloud autoscaling?

Fleet plans are designed for dynamic infrastructure. They include self-service IP management so you can add and remove servers as they scale. Fleet 50 is the most popular choice for autoscaling workloads. NGINX-MOD also includes a Dynamic Upstream API and Active Health Checks — both essential for zero-downtime autoscaling.
